What are your shipping and handling charges?

We ship our products using United States Postal Service Priority Mail.(2 to 3 day delivery)

We charge a flat rate of $8.00 per order priority mail. Express rate is $25.00. If you wish to purchase bulk aromatherapy oils or carrier oils you will need to call for product pricing and shipping cost.

How do I know you won’t sell my E-mail address to some spammer?

We value our customers privacy! We will not betray your trust and confidence in us by releasing private information that has been shared with us.

Can I buy larger quantities of your aromatherapy oils?

We will be happy to quote you prices for bulk sizes on all our aromatherapy products. Simply call or e-mail us and request a price quote.

Are your products 100% pure with no additives?

We guarantee the purity of all our essential oils, essential oil blends and essential oil CO2's. The only time any of our essential oils get diluted is when you mix them in your bath or favorite carrier oils! Hydrosols are mixed with water and are quite often refered to as floral waters. Absolute essential oils are solvant extracted and may have solvants remaining in them after the extraction process.

How are essential oils made?

Primarily essential oils are obtained through steam distillation. Some times hydro-distillation (water rather than steam) is used. Solvent distillation is used in the extraction of absolute essential oils. Or the latest technology using carbon dioxide for extracting our CO2 essential oils.

Why do I have to dilute aromatherapy oils?

Many of the essential oils are irritants and can be harmful if not used properly. Aromatherapy oils are precious natural resources and using them full strength (neat) is most often unnecessary.

What is a carrier oil?

Carrier oils are vegetable, nut or seed oils. Many of these oils have therapeutic values all their own. When these oils are combined with essential oils they have a wonderful effect on your body.

What is an appropriate dilution?

The standard dilution for a healthy adult is 2.5%. 15 drops of essential oil to 1 oz. of carrier oil, or 2 to 3 drops per teaspoon of carrier oil. For children or fragile elderly persons the dilution should be considerably less. About 5 drops essential oil to 1 oz. carrier oil, or 1 drop per teaspoon of carrier oil. If you are blending your own aromatherapy oils make sure you mix all your aromatherapy oils  before adding them to your carrier oil.

What is the difference between an absolute and an essential oil?

Essential oils are extracted by steam or CO2. Absolute essential oils are extracted using solvents and may have traces of the solvents left in them.

How many drops of essential oils per ml.?

That depends entirely on the essential oil. A thick essential oil like Patchouli or Vetiver will take fewer drops per ml. than a citrus oil. The industry standard is as follows.

20 drops per ml.

100 drops for 5 ml. (one teaspoon)

300 drops for 15 ml, (½ oz.)

600 drops per 1 oz

Is there a difference between essential oils and herbal extracts supplements?

An enormous difference Most herbal extractions are done in alcohol or glycerine and extract different properties than that of steam distillation. Essential oils are far more powerful and therefore require dilution. Herbal extracts are designed to be taken orally. Very seldom are essential oils to be taken orally

I hope the information on this page is helpful to you.
